Paying it Forward...

I came across this Pay It Forward posting and decided I wanted to do it as well. Had you seen the movie -- Pay it Forward? A powerful movie.

So with this idea, I promise something handmade to the FIRST 5 people who leave a comment here. However, to be eligible, you must repost this status, offering something handmade to 5 other people. The rules are that it must be handmade (or homemade) by you and it must be sent to your 5 people some time in 2011.

The girl's name Ellen is pronounced EL-en. It is of Greek origin, and its meaning is "sun ray" or "shining light". Variant of Helen.

What's the saying? Mom is the heartbeat of the family and home. Sometimes, I feel more like the glue --- sometimes, the thing that holds it all together. Sometimes, sticky. Othertimes, just plain stuck. :)

Wife of 8 years, mom to a 5 year old boy, a 2.5 year old boy and a 1 year old girl. Always an entrepreneur and innovator at heart. Definitely love tapping into my creative spirit. Even with my NYC roots, I've discovered an inherent "love of country" and a desire for the farming and homesteading life. Always had a deep innate love for Prince Edward Island and the Anne of Green Gables Books -- so much so, that summer of 2014, we moved there! (Yes, God does answer prayer and gives you the desires of your heart). Enjoys all sorts of crafting, curling up to a great book with hot chocolate in hand, dancing, decorating and cooking great meals.

I apparently had a hidden "crunchy" (granola, green, earthy -- whatever you call it) side. Yes, I am a cloth diapering, everything made from scratch, homeschooling, gardening, farming, bee raising, playing the fiddle, aiming to live off grid, mason jar-loving type of girl!

The man's name Damion is pronounced DAY-mee-en. It is of Greek origin. Means "to tame, subdue", though the Greek root is also close to the word for "spirit".

Even if he was born with this need to have bread at every meal, he's always willing to try all things new. A match made in heaven (and actually on the ballroom dance floor), this trait satisfies his wife's need to always give new recipes a try. Yes, you read that right - we met in Boston at a dance studio. I was doing competitive ballroom and he was taking hip-hop.

An amazing work ethic, a father with an unending source of energy to play with his children and a strong desire to welcome and invite God into our home. This man was built with a strong missions heart, a philanthropists' hand and an intensity that doesn't quit.

The sound of his laughter is definitely music to his wife's ears.

An adventurous and curious spirit, legs destined to become pro-soccer material, this little man sports an energetic and lovable personality. Loves being upfront and center in everything, but not surprising, as he was born on his due date. Loves to cuddle, tell jokes, sing, draw, read, run, play soccer or ride his bike! Currently has a fascination with taking pictures or videos.

Great sense of humor, a sweet voice and a smile that melts his mommy's heart.

The newest addition to our family, this little girl loves to smile. And when she does, it reminds me of that quote in "Happy Feet" (the movie) when Memphis says "..and when she sings, it darn near breaks your heart". Shiloh SHINES when she smiles. Loves to crawl and is showing an enthusiasm in kicking the soccer ball! Loves being around her brothers and being part of their silly games! This beautiful girl said "mama" first, quickly followed by "dada". Currently has two bottom teeth and loves to dance when the family is singing during family worship!
